The EU Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026 will take place on 8–9 July 2026 at Square, Mont des Arts in Brussels. Co-organised by the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), the event brings together stakeholders from all eight Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies, EU institutions, programmes, and civil society.

About the Event

Now in its established edition, the Strategies Days provide a key platform for exchanging on policy priorities, strengthening cross-strategy cooperation, and showcasing concrete achievements across Europe's macro-regional and sea basin communities. The Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea will be represented at the event, contributing to discussions on regional maritime cooperation and the advancement of a sustainable Blue Economy in the Black Sea basin.

A Platform for All Eight Strategies

The Strategies Days serve as a key platform for participating countries, pillar coordinators, stakeholders, presidencies, and representatives of EU institutions to engage in discussions on existing and new synergies, with an eye on the future. The four Macro-regional Strategies (Alpine, Danube, Adriatic-Ionian, Baltic) and four Sea Basin Strategies (Atlantic, Western Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Sea) will all be represented.

The Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea will be an active part of the event, contributing to cross-strategy dialogue and to discussions on advancing a sustainable Blue Economy in the Black Sea basin.

Networking Village: Call for Stands

On 1 July 2026 at 17:00, the Networking Village will open, offering a dynamic space for projects, priority areas, Strategy secretariats, NGOs, Interreg programmes, and other relevant initiatives to present their work, exchange experiences, and connect with partners from across the Strategies community.

Organisations wishing to host a stand are invited to submit their proposals via the EU Survey:  https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/networkingvillage

The deadline to apply is 15 May 2026.
