Description

On 26 January 2026, the European Commission will host European Tourism Day in Brussels, bringing together policymakers, stakeholders, and experts to reflect on recent EU tourism policy developments and discuss priorities for the future.

The event will provide a key opportunity to exchange views in the context of the EU’s upcoming Strategy for Sustainable Tourism, supporting dialogue on how to strengthen the sector’s resilience, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness across Europe and its regions.

European Tourism Day will take place at the Charlemagne Building (Gasperi Room) and will also be livestreamed, allowing broad participation beyond Brussels. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Greek, ensuring inclusive and accessible discussions.

This event represents an important milestone in shaping the EU’s tourism policy agenda and reinforcing cooperation across regions and sea basins in support of a more sustainable tourism ecosystem.
