The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) has launched its Rolling Transnational Access Call offering research teams the opportunity to access approximately 50 marine and maritime Research Infrastructures (RIs) across Europe. The call will remain open from 20 February 2026 to 29 February 2029, with rolling submissions and cut-off dates every four months. The next cut-off is 20 October 2026.
Why this matters
Access to high-quality Research Infrastructures is essential for advancing scientific excellence, supporting innovation and strengthening the transformation of the sustainable blue economy. Through this call, researchers gain access to research vessels, fixed and mobile platforms, analytical laboratories, high-performance computing facilities, portable equipment and virtual data infrastructures. These resources enable experimentation, observation and data analysis across Europe’s sea basins, including the Black Sea.
Who Should Apply?
Eligible applicants include universities, higher education institutions, public and private research organisations, SMEs, large enterprises, NGOs and public authorities. Applicants must demonstrate their own operational funding to carry out the proposed activities, while the Partnership covers access costs to the selected infrastructures. Proposals are evaluated by an International Evaluation Panel based on excellence, impact and quality of implementation.
