On 30 June 2022 (14:00-16:00 CET), the online webinar “Embedding EU macro-regional strategies/sea-basin strategies: focus on implementation” , jointly organised by the European Commission, with the steer of DG REGIO and Interact Programme, will take place.
The 3 sea basins strategies (WestMed, Atlantic and CMA for the Black Sea) will participate bringing on the table respective experience and point of view.
Territorial strategies, such as macro-regional and sea-basin strategies, inspire and provide orientation for more effective cooperation and investment, to deliver greater coordinated impacts in regions affected by shared challenges and needs. They also offer access to partnerships and coordination frameworks. Over the past months, the programming authorities and the European Commission have jointly worked hard on setting up the new generations of EU funding programmes paying special attention to reaping the benefits offered by the EU macro-regional strategies and sea basin strategies.
With the first programmes adopted, attention will be paid to the implementation phase. But how to approach the practical implementation of the planned cooperation measures supporting the embedding of the EU macro-regional and sea basin strategies? This will be the focus of the online webinar.
The aim of the meeting is to:
- facilitate the discussion and sharing of experience on the embedding of macro-regional strategies and sea basin strategies in Cohesion policy funding programmes;
- offer room for open discussion on the practical implementation of this process.
