Every year, the European Maritime Day (EMD) is organised to raise awareness of citizens across Europe on seas, oceans and the importance they bring to the economy.

As a central event for 2023, European Maritime Day will be held in Brest, France, on 24-25 May. It will bring together maritime community from all over Europe – government, businesses, NGOs, academia, public organisations – for networking, discussion and joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.

Together with several thematic workshops, the event will host a large-scale exhibition, where organisations and projects engaged in blue economy can showcase their achievements and innovations.

April 5 is the deadline for requesting a stand at the exhibition.

May 19 is the deadline for registering for the event.

The European Maritime Day 2023 is organised jointly by the European Commission, the City of Brest, the Region of Brittany, the department of Finistère and the General Secretariat for the Sea.
