About ARSINOE:
ARSINOE, an EU-funded initiative, is committed to creating climate-resilient regions through systemic solutions and innovations. In its mission to identify and support promising climate adaptation solutions, ARSINOE is launching a series of open tenders in 2023.
What is the Second Open Tender?
The Second Open Tender specifically targets innovators working on solutions addressing extreme heat, water scarcity, drought, water pollution, and floods. The goal is to identify mature innovations that can enhance the climate resilience of regions and communities across Europe.
Why Participate?
Funding Allocation: Selected innovations stand a chance to receive up to EUR 50,000 for demonstration activities in 12 participating case studies across Europe.
Showcase and Demonstrate: This is an opportunity to demonstrate the practical application of your innovation, align it with real end-user needs, and potentially attract prospective clients.
Contribute to Climate Resilience: By participating, you contribute to the overarching goal of creating climate-resilient regions, mitigating the impacts of climate-related challenges on social, economic, and environmental systems.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be legal entities based in eligible countries. This includes small- or medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, universities, research institutes, NGOs, and foundations. The innovation should align with the case study's goals and legal requirements.
How to Apply:
Submit your online application via the ARSINOE webpage before the deadline. Ensure your application addresses all questions to be considered eligible for evaluation.
Evaluation Criteria:
An Evaluation Committee, comprised of ARSINOE consortium members and independent partners, will assess applications based on readiness (Technical, Social, Market) and qualitative criteria (Testing Feasibility, Innovator Vision, Promising Innovation, and Contribution to Social and Governance Transformation).
Key Dates:
Selected innovations should be ready for testing and implementation activities between April 2024 and March 2025, with exact timelines to be agreed upon during the contracting phase.
