BlueLightS: Call for Blue Challenges in European Schools

This call for proposals is part of the BlueLightS project, funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme, aimed at promoting Ocean and Water Literacy by engaging young people in the EU Blue School Program and the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters.

The Mission Ocean & Water seeks to address the damage caused to oceans and inland waters by human activities such as pollution, climate change, and resource exploitation. Its focus is on restoring ecosystems, reducing pollution, and enhancing the blue economy, relying heavily on fostering water literacy and environmental responsibility.

The Network of European Blue Schools (NEBS) plays a key role by encouraging schools to take part in "Find the blue" projects, with successful participation earning the European Blue School label. This call outlines the terms for taking part in the Blue Challenges/Blue Schools initiative under the BlueLightS funding scheme.
